South Island Surfing Company(SISCO’s) headquarters and surf shop is located at 12-14 New Brighton Mall, at the Eastern end near the Pier, the shop is just 50m from the beach. We stock a wide range of new and secondhand surfboards, bikinis, boardshorts, AZTEC ROSE & INSIGHT surf clothing, short and longboards plus a range of hire boards and wetsuits

To teach you to learn to surf quickly, effectively and safely. Encourage development of your skills and confidence, through safety fun and fitness.
YOUR COACH
Dave O’Rourke is a qualified ASA level 1 Coach. Also trained in First Aid and CPR and SNZ Level 1 Surf Coach.with 30 years surfing experience
Trish O’Rourke is a qualified SNZ Level 1 Surf Coach, and has 6 years of surfing and competitive judging experience. Dave has been involved in contest surfing as both Contest Director and Head Judge and some local success as a competitor. They have both travelled and surfed extensively in Indonesia, Hawaii, Europe and Australia.
SURF TOURS
Overnight and 3 Day Tours - Available September-May
DAY TOURS: $120 per person, includes lunch, minimum 2 people. (Surf hire equipment extra)
Great waves within 2 1/2 hours of Christchurch, Banks Peninsula, Gore Bay, Kaikoura
EVENING SURFS
After work December - March, late closing
SUMMERTIME CHILDREN’S SURF
Programs 2 hours includes board , wetsuit and fully supervised lesson..great fun for the kids $25 per session or book of 5 vouchers for $100
WOMAN’S SURFING SUNDAY OR ANYTIME
Male and Female instructors-get a group of girls together for a good time
